Unofficial Visit

An unofficial visit is a campus visit paid for by the recruit and their family. There is no NCAA limit on unofficial visits — recruits can take as many as they want, at any age, to any number of schools.

Unofficial visits are the workhorse of swim recruiting. Many sophomores and juniors take 5-10 unofficial visits to narrow their list before requesting official visits as seniors.

During an unofficial visit, the coach can meet with you on campus and arrange a campus tour, but cannot pay for any of your travel, food, or lodging. You pay your own way.
